ABOUT THE HOTEL

Westin Bayshore Resort & Marina
1601 Bayshore Drive
Vancouver, British Columbia V6G 2V4 CANADA
(604) 682-3377
http://www.westinbayshore.com

A premier resort with a spectacular location, Vancouver's Westin Bayshore Resort & Marina is full of surprises. The luxurious accommodations and picturesque panoramic views at the Westin Bayshore Resort & Marina attract the most discerning guests, including the late Howard Hughes. Vancouver is Hollywood North, and there are always several shoots in progress at any point of time. The Seawall Bar and Grill is a great place to catch a rising star!

The Westin Bayshore is Vancouver's only resort hotel. All our guest rooms feature Westin's Heavenly Bed® and step-out balconies. The resort is located along prestigous Coal Harbour and a short walk away from North America's largest urban park, Stanley Park. The scenic 20 kilometre Seawall that encircles Stanley Park (and connects to our Resort) is perfect for biking, rollerblading and leisurely strolls. The Westin is only 5 minutes from the heart of downtown, shopping centres and restaurants. A complimentary shuttle departs every 30 minutes.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

A special room rate of $227 per night CDN ($182 USD) is available for all meeting participants in the Main Building at the Westin Bayshore. A $259 CDN ($208 USD) rate is available in the Tower Building. These rates are offered on a space-available basis only through July 11, 2005. Reservation requests made after July 11 will be confirmed on a space-available basis at prevailing hotel rates. Reservations can be made by calling (800) WESTIN-1 or the hotel's reservations department directly at (604) 682-3377. Please indicate you are with the "2005 Pacific Dermatologic Association Annual Meeting" to receive the special room rate.

AIR TRAVEL AND TRANSPORTATION

All major airlines service Vancouver International Airport.  The hotel is located 10 miles from the airport (30 minutes) and car rental and taxi services are available at the airport.  One-way taxi service from the airport to the resort will cost approximately $21-27 USD ($25-33 CDN). Hotel parking is $15 USD per day for self-parking ($18 CDN) and $15.50 USD per day for valet ($18.50 CDN).

SHUTTLE SERVICE

The Westin Bayshore does not offer complimentary shuttle service from the airport. The Airporter shuttle, located outside baggage claim, leaves the airport every 40 minutes and stops at all major hotels in Vancouver. Cost is $10 USD per person oneway and $15 USD roundtrip ($12 and $18 CDN, respectively).
