The PDA would like to remember Robert T. Carson, Jr., MD, who passed away on January 18, 2010. Dr. Carson was in practice for 48 years and saw patients up until the time of his death. He was a former vice president of the PDA, and a former president of the California Dermatological Society, Tri-Counties Dermatological Society and the Ventura County Medical Society. Dr. Carson also served on committees with the American Academy of Dermatology. He received his medical degree from the University of Southern California in 1956 and was board certified in dermatology in 1961, the same year he started practicing in Oxnard. Dr. Carson became board certified in Dermatopathology in 1974 and served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine/Dermatology at UCLA since 1974.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Miller Carson; his sons, Robert T. Carson III and Craig Rath Carson; Carol Carson; grandchildren, Robert T. Carson, IV and Victoria Carol Carson; Richard and Kathy Miller and children James, Nicholas and Sarah; Robert and Susan Miller Milch and children Holly, Kristi and Dayna; Michael and Christina Miller and children Greg, Madison and Austin; Greg and Jessica Miller Terzian Diaz and children Graham and Jackson. He was preceded in death by one son, Patrick James Carson. |
