PDA is proud to introduce a new educational benefit for members - a Virtual Seminar series. PDA plans to offer these virtual sessions on a regular basis, providing valuable education on a wide range of topics.
Members can attend these sessions right from your office or home. All you need to participate is a telephone and/or a computer with a high-speed internet connection. The audio is delivered over the telephone (toll-free) or the internet. Registrants will be provided call in/login information 2-3 days prior to the session and a URL to access the presentation right on the web in real time.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Dermatologists are often times required to carry out various painful and invasive procedures in young children in the office based setting. This can be taxing, time-consuming and potentially traumatic to children and their families. Dr. Benjamin provides practical advice and insights to accomplishing procedures in children of all ages in a safe, minimally painful, and efficient way.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:
| 1) | Promote patient cooperation in children of all ages. |
| 2) | Insure safe and effective pain management. |
| 3) | Adopt practical pearls to maximize efficiency in the office work space when performing pediatric invasive procedures. |
| 4) | Gain a better understanding of the unique principles to pediatric surgery. |
SPEAKER BIO
Latanya T. Benjamin, M.D. is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics and Interim Program Director and Service Chief for the Division of Pediatric Dermatology at Stanford University School of Medicine. Her medical expertise includes pediatric laser and skin surgery, childhood psoriasis, alopecia areata, infantile hemangiomas, atopic dermatitis, ichthyosis and disorders of the nails. Dr. Benjamin received her medical degree from MCP Hahnemann (Drexel) University. She then entered a pediatric residency, followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Miami; and her Pediatric Dermatology clinical fellowship at Northwestern University.
Dr. Benjamin currently has a thriving medical and surgical practice at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University.
